Mariella and Becky are working on creating a situation in the classroom where students have to think for themselves. They have designed a test of 7 tasks, where the students have to do only 5 out of 7, all of which are in German. A time of 10 minutes forced them to shift from one task to another during the exam and they both made it clear that quitting was not an option... they had to get on with it and they did. To minimize the risk of this experiment, all pupils were prepared one session before, and they were also given a pack with a dictionary, a jocker and instructions to help them through the test. Mariella's experiment happened on the 26th of March and Becky's on the 2nd of April. we taped the two experiments and we hope to get some of their results on this blog.
