Group 1, wanted to work on something that relates to the performing arts school; they imagine a space where every term, a new theatrical production gets made, with sets, costumes, light, music, performance, story...all made in house by the students. They are developing their concept and trying to start one pilot model
Group 2 wanted to work on establishing a radio station in the school and for the school... also investigating what they need to do, how to do it, and who can help them
Group 3 were looking at the idea of having more time for sport and fitness. Their view at the moment is that pupils can, instead of being sent to referral, could be sent to a gym to get all their anger out, do dome physical work, and come back to class with more focus. They are working at the moment on finding evidence for the benefit and impact of more sport in education as well as making this model viable.
Group 4 seem to be working on the idea of a transitional space between primary school and Secondary school; they want a space where people can play games together, learn about each other and use their hands in making stuff.
Group 5 are also investigating the thought of teaching different subjects through sports.
All this work will be developed for a presentation on the 30th of April to the management of the school and some of it might hopefully be taken forward into next year.
